About Us

Langley Moor Primary School Parent Teacher Association is a group run by friendly volunteer parents with the help of Mrs Stelling and her staff. The PTA plays a vital role within the school providing support, arranging events and more importantly, raising money for all sorts of equipment for the Children.

Over the past couple of years, our PTA Group has dwindled in numbers.Without new members we would be in danger of losing the group. This would be such a shame, as it would have a huge impact on our Children.

Getting Involved

If you would like to become involved but feel that you can’t commit much of your time.  Then don’t worry!  Whatever little time you may be able to give would be a huge help!  If you can’t attend all of our meetings, then that’s not a worry either.  That’s what volunteering is about – giving whatever you can give!

“YOUR PTA NEEDS YOU!”

Have Your Say

Have you any thoughts, ideas or concerns about anything to do with School. Would you like to meet more parents to share your experiences. Would you like to become more involved with School Life.

…if so, why not join us at one of our meetings. Watch this board for our next date!

Recent Fundraising and Events

School equipment is so much more expensive to buy than you can imagine!  Equipment has to come from Certified School Suppliers, for which the School has to pay a premium.  This is why our additional fundraising is so vital.

All money raised by the PTA is invested back into the school. We liaise with staff and children to decide how funds should be spent.

October 2017 - Halloween Disco: The school hall was transformed into a Halloween spectacular on the 31st October. The children and staff danced to spooky songs and had a totally fabulous time. The fancy dress outfits were superb!

September 2017 - Contribution to the New Library:  Thanks to all the money you have helped us raise over the last year we have been able to donate £2000 towards books for the new library.

July 2017 - The Annual Summer Fayre was a scorcher of a day and raised a magnificent £9667!

April 2017 - Easter Egg Treasure Hunt: This was a huge success with over 100 children and parents involved.

April 2017 - The Easter Egg Decorating competition was held for pupils and parents alike this year and there were some fantastic creations.

March 2017 - Reception Class Bingo evening was held and fun was had by all!

December 2016 - £1199 was donated to the school pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. The children really enjoyed it!

December 2016 -  £183 was donated by the PTA to fund the childrens Christmas parties.  They had a great time!

November 2016 - The Annual Winter Fayre was a roaring success raising a fantastic £754.36.

November 2016 - The PTA donated £1300 towards the Mathletics subscription

Without your support during PTA Events, our Children wouldn’t get these additional activities and pieces of equipment which make their lives at School just that little bit more memorable!!
